After a 6 month hiatus from the Covid-19 shutdown, we were finally given permission to proceed on Sept 17th to begin construction again. We had only 1 month of construction under our belts when the pandemic struck and we stopped work in March. In conjunction with the General contractor, EDIFICAR, we had taken advantage of the shutdown and been able to implement all the biosecurity protocols and have made the improvements to site to assure a safe works environment.
We have made a lot of progress and we are happy to say you can now see the building emerging from the ground. Excavation of the underground parking and mechanical spaces is almost complete and stands at 85%. We are in the most complex phase of the structure while we finish building the retaining walls and support the surround building but the process has gone extremely well. We have poured over 40% of the 1st floor slab at the street level and expect to have it close to 100% by mid-January. You can already see the columns going up that will support the 2nd floor and we will see the building go up at a much faster rate once the 1st floor is complete.
